Bring your identity to this browser

Recovery pairing sends encrypted recovery material from a browser that already holds your identity. This lets the receiving browser control your identity, not just sign in to one product. Only pair browsers you control. You can also restore using your current recovery words.

1. 1 If your existing Parable browser still offers recovery pairing, open Settings → Devices → Authorize another browser and choose the identity portal. This option is unavailable for accounts using only product device keys; use your current recovery words here instead.
2. 2 It will show a QR code. Scan it with this device’s camera — that opens the invitation here, ready to go. If you cannot scan, copy the full link it offers and open that link in this browser.
3. 3 Both screens will show the same short fingerprint. Check they match, then approve on the first device.

Keep the invitation private and use the complete link or QR code. A short code alone is not enough. Cancel if the fingerprints differ. If pairing fails after a key change, keep the existing browser and restore with your current words.
